Road trip to Uxmal

Written by Kajsa IngelssonJanuary 25, 2017

I’m all about the small pleasures in life. Like taking a roadtrip with friends. You put on some dope tunes (like this one) and eat crispy vegan snacks on the way.

The particular trip on my mind is one that I took not so long ago to the ancient mayan city Uxmal. The city is estimated to have been built around the years 850-925 AD (after the death of Jesus). It’s an insane place. The energy is so high there, I was exhausted after walking around for two hours. It’s incredible that the mayans built something of this scale and design before any machines existed at all. If you are ever in Merida, it’s a must to check it out. The pictures doesn’t do it justice.
