At this point, i’m sure we all know how important it is to stay hydrated. Its vital if we want our bodys and minds to function at its best. Plus, it is one of the oldest and easiest beauty secrets of all time. It really works wonders!
I’m always looking for ways to spice up my water. By adding herbs, flowers, fruits or powders I add some exiting flavor to the water all while amping up the nutrients too!
Today I decided to make rose water. It’s rich in flavonoids, anti-oxidants, tannins and essential vitamins like A, C, D, E and B3, so needles to say it ranks pretty high on the healthy drinks list 🙂
Rose water
All you need is:
- Rose petals, fresh or dried
- Water
- A pot
- A glass bottle for storage
How to make the rose water:
- Add rose petals to a large pot and top with distilled water. I’ll usually take 2 handfulls of petals and cover them with water + a little more.
- Over medium heat, bring the water to a simmer and cover.
- Let simmer for 20-30 min.
- Strain the mixture and pour the water into a glass jar. Store in your fridge.
It’s super refreshing and you sure feel like a goddess drinking it!
