Dont panic, its organic!

Everybody that knows me knows that I am pretty particular with my food. I need organic produce! This is not something that I compromise with. I will not eat chemicals and hormones.

Anybody who ever been to Argentina knows that it can be pretty hard to find healthy food over here. Its more like meat, cheese, supermarket and processed food. Needless to say, I really struggled in the beginning. So, I wanted to share my 3 to go places for groceries here in Buenos aires.

First of is a magical place called El Galpon. Its an 100% organic market that is open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Its located in an old abandon train station and they have dogs, chickens, a horse and very handsome cock roaming the grounds so going there is a bit surrealistic. I recommend to go quite early as the best stuff goes quickly. You will find this crazy place at Av. Federico Lacroze, 4171.

Second place that I usually go to is a little tienda in palermo soho. The owners are super chatty and nice and they have really tasty house-made dips like hummus and muhammara. You can also find raw crackers, banana bread and organic eggs there to name a few items. Open MondaySaturday from 10 to 21 and you can find them at Cabrera 4864.

Last but not least we have a market called Mercado de Economia solidaria Bonpland that is located in Palermo Hollywood, Bonpland 1660. Here you can find all sorts of things, from clothes to fresh produce, eco laundry detergent, spices, legumes and home-cooked meals.

So there you have it! And no, the dust bird is not really relevant to the story, but I like the creativity behind it, so its in.
